Helen Keller is AMAZING!

There are so many inspiring stories written by and about Helen Keller. She is an amazing person who saw through blind eyes and heard through deaf ears. I think her story is inspiring to the deaf and blind as well as the rest of the world. Try Helen's Eyes, The Story of My Life, or Helen Keller her life in pictures.

I hope you find something interesting as well.

Temple Grandin - Wow!

Yeah, when I first heard that Temple Grandin designed slaughter houses I was surprised. For one thing I have not met many people with autism and I did not realize how far you could go with a condition like this to manage. Also, I was confused why someone who is intersted in the humane treatment of animals would help design a more efficient way to put them in the wonderful flash frozen form that many of us lug home in grocery bags. Then I read the whole page and felt like a heal. Who am I to assume that my abilities are better then someone elses? Who knows, maybe the clarity of thinking in pictures would be a blessing. This form of clarity may eliminate some of the details in life that we spend time worrying about even though they don't matter.

CSD Thoughts

I am finally feeling a little more comfortable with my assignments and new found responsibilities. I got really excited considering research options and questions. It would be so fun to sink your teeth into something and study it so thouroughly.
